Their approach is focused on not only treating existing conditions but also on proactive wellness to ensure a long and healthy life for your cherished companion.
While the hospital has a history of dedicated service, recent public reviews highlight some concerns regarding client communication and financial transparency. One client, who had been driving 40 minutes to the clinic, expressed feeling "distraught" after a dental procedure for their dog. Although they had agreed to a treatment, they were not contacted when the scope of the procedure changed from "a couple" to "13" teeth extracted. This lack of communication led to an unexpected and significant increase in the bill, leaving the owner feeling uninformed and unprepared. They remarked, "I said at least a car shop calls and gives you updates when they find more then what they originally thought." This experience led them to express a desire for legal action, feeling that the clinic should have consulted them before proceeding with such an extensive and costly intervention. Another review shared a similarly difficult experience with a cat's prolonged illness. This client felt "deeply disappointed and disheartened," believing the clinic was more focused on "milking out every conceivable insurance claim" rather than prioritizing the pet's health and comfort. Ultimately, this led to a painful and delayed decision for euthanasia. These reviews suggest that while the clinic provides a wide range of services, there may be challenges in their client communication and handling of financial expectations during complex procedures, which are essential considerations for any pet owner.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We normally love this vet, I drive 40mins to bring my dog here. Today was supposed to be 2 shots and an exam for $115. Doctor came in and said she needs a couple teeth pulled, I agreed even though I can't afford it, I don't want my dog in pain. I signed an estiamte for $900 or less depending on how many teeth. I left her and got a call this afternoon saying that she is recovering nicely. I asked how many teeth and they pulled 13! Im distraught. I said no one called to say they found more decay or asked me if I wanted to do this in phases do to decay level and budget. They just pulled them and assumed I can now afford a $1,000 bill. I said at least a car shop calls and gives you updates when they find more then what they originally thought. Now my poor girl only has 4 teeth and I'm hating myself because she is in pain that could've been avoided. What awful updates when my dog is family and my kid. Now a have a bill I can't afford and a dog in pain when it wasn't expected. A couple is up to 5 teeth. The doctor should've called and advised she needed almost all of them! We will not be back and I will be getting an attorney to fight this!!
August 27 · Brandy WoodI am deeply disappointed and disheartened by what my cat and I endured at this clinic. What was supposed to be a place of care and compassion was a weeks-long horror show. Right from the start, I could tell my cat's suffering was being needlessly extended. Rather than focusing on actual treatment or comfort, it seemed the clinic cared more about milking out every conceivable insurance claim. Each visit brought additional tests, procedures, and expenses with minimal actual improvement in the health of my cat. It became painfully obvious that we were being taken advantage of. In the end, after all the money and emotional strain, we had no recourse but euthanasia a decision that should have been taken earlier, if her health was the real issue. I wouldn't subject anyone to this. I would recommend that pet owners question hard and listen to their instincts. Not all clinics care about your pet as much as they claim. If there were an option for a 0 star review I would definitely do that because I want to prevent others from being deceived like I was.
May 21 · Esther CastroSo friendly! I made an appointment for three kittens to be spayed and the front desk had all of the paperwork printed and ready for me to sign. It was a very efficient drop-off process.
August 13 · Scott KnaubWe love East Chapman Vet Center! We became a retirement home of a local celebrity, Sunny, from the flowerdale nursery (yes, the friendly white cat). Sunny has been a long time patient of ECV and we moved our other kitty and 2 dogs to them after meeting them for our first visit with Sunny.Everyone, I mean everyone, from the front office staff to the vet techs to Dr Shayda to covering Drs in her absence, are lovely, helpful, kind, and compassionate. No one likes to go to the vet, except maybe Sunny. He is pampered and loved on the moment we arrive. He and our other animals are treated by everyone as if they are their own. I trust them to be honest, fair and guide me in making difficult decisions. In the last few months Sunny has needed to be seen quite a few times for his kidneys, and although it can be nerve wracking to spend so much time at the vet, every. single. time. I know he’s getting the best care.I see some reviews mentioning long wait times, the only time I experienced this was when I needed to walk in without an appointment (and I wasn’t the only worried pet parent having a stressful health situation at the same time/day) imagine having a full day of appointments but ALSO allowing walk-ins between appointments so that as a pet parent you and your lil baby get some relief the same day… I would assume there would be a wait, I know that’s not ideal but that’s pretty normal in an urgent non appointment situation.Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. To each and every staff member for making all our babies feel loved and cared for. You are appreciated beyond measure.❤️🙏🏻
August 13 · Kimberly YountThis vet is the worst vet I have ever been to. I lost my one year old puppy due to negligence. I went here due to her swallowing a toy and they explained that the x rays were good and that she would be fine. Not even 24 hours later she was septic. I took her to another vet who said they should have done an ultrasound and that x-rays cannot show a tear or leaking abdomen. After that she went to the ER for life saving measures but did not make it ( which the ER was also shocked they did not do ultrasound). The lying was insane as they first said it was routine to not do an ultrasound but after questioning more they explained there was no ultrasound tech on scene that day because it was Friday. They were lazy and just wanted to go home and enjoy their weekend, therefore letting my dog die. You would think the right thing to do is to send the dog to another vet for an ultrasound if they did not have time or resources. (i did not get refunded for the x-ray nor were there any apologies or condolences for their wrong doing. Extremely selfish and cruel vet)
