★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’m so thankful to the team at Life Care for helping my dog get healthy again. The veterinarian was kind, thorough, and after just one visit, I noticed a huge improvement — she’s now doing great!I did feel the prices were on the higher side, but when I asked for a breakdown of the charges, they were very transparent and accommodating. They removed some tests and exams that I didn’t feel were necessary, and I appreciated their willingness to adjust the bill accordingly.Overall, I had a very positive experience and felt my dog was in good hands. I’d definitely recommend them to other pet owners looking for attentive and effective care.
July 15 · Cruz VegaKindness, empathy, and a true love of the animal patients they see. My tiny dog is very difficult when it comes to nail trims, and the staff went out of their way to make sure it was a comfortable as possible for her, resulting in a really good nail trim and a happy dog. Anyone who has a dog who won’t let anyone touch their feet knows the struggle! High five 🙌
August 08 · Jen GUpdate: I can now say, unequivocally, that Dr. McKenna has fully saved the life of my cat. She was able to make inferences from lab work and develop a treatment plan without additional testing or delay. I am 100% sure that my cat would be dead today if not for this treatment.Overall, very caring staff and vets. They have helped me with a variety of issues. I always feel well-cared for here. I can tell they really care about animals.I have a 3 yo gray tabby with urinary issues. They can always get him in to check his bladder, and they have had a lot of good tips for managing his conditions. They will even call me on the phone to go over his test results. The doctors here are good about working within my budget to provide quality care for my cat.I also have an 18 yo brown tabby who is in the early stages of kidney disease. Dr. McKenna has been great about helping me manage this condition and weigh the pros and cons of putting my old lady on prescription food. Despite my best efforts, I've been unable to keep my urinary boy out of her food, so we've decided to put them all on the urinary diet for safety. My 2 yo blue tortoiseshell has been here several times as well, most notably for a very protracted ear infection. Dr. McKenna was great at coming up with options to treat this aggressive infection in my farm rescue, and now my little lady is just as spunky as ever. This weekend, I tried out their urgent care hours for the first time. The doctor I saw was very knowledgeable and compassionate. After having had several visits to the emergency room with my gray tabby, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that a visit on the weekend including an abdominal ultrasound, injectable medicine, and subcutaneous fluids was only around $250. I declined the blood work, which would have added around $400. Today I'm back with the same sick cat, and the same blood work that was $400 on the weekend is around $200 today. So I do feel like the urgent care prices are much better than the emergency room but still higher than the weekday prices, which seems fair. I would highly recommend their urgent care as a good place to take a pet on the weekend. On Saturday morning, I was able to see a vet right away with minimal wait time. We were in and out of the office in under ninety minutes. Blood work done in house does slow down the visit, but for a pet that may need urgent medical attention it's worth the wait and extra $40 or so to have the blood work done in house- that way you can make decisions in person with the vet.All in all I'm very happy with the quality of care here, and I think most of the prices are reasonable. I do think that it was rather expensive to neuter my gray tabby -- I remember it being around $700. However I can't imagine getting higher quality care anywhere else in town. I love my cats more than anything and I trust Dr. McKenna with their lives. Moreover, she is good at helping to make common sense decisions that might go against traditional advice -- like when it's ok to give non prescription food to my urinary boy just to make sure he's eating *something,* vs. just strictly following rules. I never feel pressured to extend my budget. I'm also amazed at the care Dr. McKenna shows each cat. She busts out toys for my younger, more playful cat. She sits on the floor to allow my older, more cautious cat to get comfortable. She has a way of handling each cat with care that minimizes the stress they experience in each visit. You can tell she really loves cats!
April 20 · Michelle DobbratzAfter almost three years of going to Life Care we could not suggest a better vet. Dr. McKenna has been one of the best vets we have ever seen. She gets on the floor with both my spicy and non-spicy (medically abnormal) dog and really listens to what is going on. I couldn’t ask for a better vet with a better set of vet techs. If you have a dog that is nervous or has a binder full of medical issues or a happy normal dog this is a vet I’d recommend.
March 11 · Kaitlyn NoyesMy dog had a health scare over the weekend and I didn’t know if I should take her to an ER or try to wait until the next day to get into my normal vet clinic. A vet ER is really expensive and I wasn’t sure I could afford it at the time. This Urgent Care popped up on my searches and I decided to give them a call. At the end of the day, pet health care is still expensive but someone picked up the phone right away and they were able to get me in within the hour. We showed up and everyone from the front desk to the doctor were so professional and friendly. I felt right at home and knew my dog was in good hands. They have only provided urgent care services over the weekends for about 2 months, but it was a great experience for us. We even left with a nail trim! Thank you everyone at Life Care! I know where to go if I need primary care or a weekend urgent care visit for my fur baby. Urgent care visits start at $99, but they go over estimated costs with you before proceeding with any care. Love, Doggo ❤️
