While this incident highlights a significant past issue, the positive experiences consistently attributed to Dr. Helper and the staff's kindness during challenging times (like the cat's hospitalization) suggest a strong foundation of caring professionals. Northview Animal Hospital Reviews
A year ago I brought my cat in to be checked because he was losing weight and vomiting. When I made the appointment, the person answering the phone sarcastically asked if this was the cat that hadn't been seen by their staff in 2 years. I answered yes and made the appointment. Dr. Kip Lemke (no longer with Northview) did a physical examination, told me my cat was overweight and that was all. I came back months later when my cat was still losing weight. I insisted on tests being done, again Dr. Lemke was dismissive and asked me if I was in the medical profession (I am not). He said he would call in a few days. A few days later I called and asked about the tests. Dr. Helper called me right back and said I needed to bring my cat in immediately for fluids. My cat spent the next 3 days in the animal hospital. Dr. Helper and staff were very kind to him while he was there. Nine days later Dr. Lemke finally got around to calling me back. He said that I needed to bring my cat in for fluids. I told him that had already been done and my cat was home now. When I told him I chose not to wait around for him to call me with the test results, he seemed surprised. My cat died within the month, as it was too late for treatment. I thank Dr. Helper and staff for their kindness. I sincerely hope that Dr. Lemke has retired.
Jul 14, 2025 · K GirlEverything went as expected. I have complete trust in Dr. Helper and his staff. Thanks again for taking such great care of my sweet Bizzy girl.
Jul 04, 2025 · Cari HallmarkI've been taking my pets here for 27 years and the care that's given is invaluable. I hope Dr. Helper can keep this practice open and hand out of to someone who cares as much as he and his staff do. I can't imagine trusting another vet office to care for my babies as well as this clinic does.
