★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Great place. Dr. Collins is excellent and cares about animals and people. My dog wasn't doing well and needed surgery asap. He got me in same day I called on July 3rd right before the long holiday weekend. Very fairly priced. It's hard to find anything good these days no matter what kind of service. Definitely recommend this place.
July 11 · Brian AnthonyTook my pup in for a look at his ears and a nail trim. Dr. B told me $90 for officer visit and ear treatment. I then get out front and the receptionist told me $195. Now this included two things that weren’t discussed. Which I totally understand but for the service we discussed I expected it to be that price. Dr came back out and said sometimes he mumbles and people don’t understand him. He said he would take off office visit this time. Then receptionist wasn’t happy and had an attitude. Saying I was trying to get everything for $90. I explained with an attitude back that I was told an amount and now I’m being told another amount. Anyone would be upset about it. Then she said that she can’t deal with me and that the other receptionist would have to deal with me. I made a snarky comment about not wanting to deal with her either and she then proceeded to tell me that she is the receptionist and works there and if I don’t like it not welcome to come back. Told her I wouldn’t be coming back. So folks if you want to deal with a doctor that mumbles and you might catch what he is really saying and a receptionist that just can’t deal with you then go to Portland Tn animal hospital. I’ve had several issues with them over the last several years but it’s the only place you can get into, and now I know why. Do not recommend.
August 07 · Heather AllenThey were absolutely amazing. They worked my puppy in on a Saturday. Gave great care. Texted me later to check on him.
May 03 · Tina TuckerI took my cat there Saturday. I was offered several tests and chose the conservative route of a shot and antibiotics. FF to Wednesday and she took a turn for the worst. We rushed her back in and the short stubby vet said she was actively dying but offered x rays and a leukemia test. As she lay there gasping for breath like a fish out of water we begged him to do something for her suffering and he said “what do you want me to do? This isn’t Grey’s anatomy”. We just asked for quick suffering relief so we could euthanize her peacefully but as he argued with us, she suffocated to death in front of us. He had no compassion and a big ego. Offering testing while saying she was dying. I will never take another pet of mine there again.
August 28 · Stacey FitzgeraldI've been going to Portland Animal Hospital for many years and not once have I ever been disappointed. Dr. B is wonderful in explaining procedures, as well as diagnosis.I will continue to trust him and his staff for the care of my furbabies.
