San Francisco Animal Medical Center Reviews
I've only been coming to SFAMC for a few months, but the exceptional and meticulous service we have received for our dog Mania has left me feeling truly cared for and completely confident in their ability to provide the best care! Our dog is reactive, but they have been able to provide us with some medication so she's more calm during her visits and they never try to push or force our pet to do anything uncomfortable. They are very prompt when responding to emails and they always get back to me even for questions that require a response from the doctor. They now offer 24/7 emergency visits so making a call for a vet appointment is very easy since they're open all day, everyday!
Feb 25, 2025 · Janice LMy cat swallowed a SEWING NEEDLE and as soon as I could get her through the vet doors they had her behind and evaluated. She was obviously scared and hissing/ biting (impressive to think about given she had a needle through her tongue) and they were not the least bit phased. Told me exactly what they were going to do and within an hour and a half they had removed. I was really upset and they were so nice, I cannot say enough good things about my emergency experience today with them. They even called my usual vet to get her info which they acted like was standard but I think was above and beyond.Thank you to the staff and vet surgeon on site for helping my stupid cat!! We love her and you treated her like our baby and we so appreciate it.
Mar 30, 2025 · Matilda JaneI can't say enough good things about these guys. The first time I came here, I was having an emergency and stressed to the gills. They were so incredible, I actually switched my usual appointments to them as well. They helped me give my cat with cancer three more years before I had to say goodbye. Through that horrible process, they were empathetic and so, so good to us. Dr. Gilbert still looks after little brother, and my friend's first cat. Hopefully she'll still be right there when the distribution system brings me the next generation.

But due to the care of Dr. Adamson he survived, was saved by her diligent, intelligent, compassionate care..she went above and beyond..never gave up on him..overcame every new twist and turn his mystery illness sent her way..she’s an “All Star” Veterinarian. My beautuful dog Jay was a challenge to treat and cure she never gave up on him, was always available during emergencies..conferred continually with the other Board Certified, Veterinary Specialty Diplomates at SF Animal Center. Dr.Adamson is the most ethical vet..never ordered any unnecessary tests, charged very reasonable fees for the many visits Jay needed. I love her; she saved my dog from his mystery illness and in the end she Succeeded. Everyone from front desk people, Vet techs, other Veterinarians..pharmacy staff all knew Jay, cared about Jay ..went out of their way to accomodste us; care for us in every way.
May 25, 2025 · ElleCat 707I had a wonderful experience at SFAMC. My 12 year old pup had to come in for what ended up being an emergency splenectomy surgery, and it was rough for me. I love my pup so much.Dr. Moore in emergency was incredibly kind, and took the time to walk me through the tests, determining that surgery would be our best treatment. The transition to work with the surgery team was smooth, and our coordinator Melissa was kind and understanding when I was having a rough time. She communicated with me along the way, and really put me at ease when I wasn’t okay. She made it so I could visit with my little girl before she went to surgery, and that meant so much. Thank you for your kindness!Huge shout out to my dog’s surgeon, Dr. Polidoro, and for how informative and professional he was across the board.Just took my little gal home from the hospital, and focusing on helping her recover back to her sassy old self.
