★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I’ve been going to South Glendora Animal Hospital for almost a decade. Since then, I have noticed a concerning decline in quality of service. That isn’t to say that I found any of the staff to be rude—they are all very kind. My issue is that Dr. Kang does not do a good job at doing checkups. There are several issues I can talk about that I’ve noticed over the years, but I will focus on the most recent ones.First, I brought in a stray cat that I wanted to adopt. I was told that the cat was a female, and they even shaved them. Later, we took my cat in for a spay since they said my cat didn’t look like it was fixed. After we dropped my cat off, we got a call that our cat was actually a male, and that they checked after already cutting him open. We were still charged for the entirety of the spay even though it was never completed. How can a vet not know whether a cat is a male or female, and not think to check its sex until after the cat is already on the operating table?Secondly, I brought my 8-week-old kitten. Dr. Kang did a checkup and told me that she was perfectly healthy. Later, we took her to a vet that was closer to where we live, and the doctor there told us that our kitten was severely underweight when we first got her. The vet also told us that our kitten had a double ear infection and some inflammation around her anal glands. She told us that this has likely been going on since we got her. How could the vet miss these things? The new vet didn’t even have to run different tests to tell that there were some issues right off the bat.I just want to reiterate that I do not have any personal vendetta against South Glendora Animal Hospital. My greatest concern is that Dr. Kang does not perform a thorough checkup. I would hate for someone else’s pets to suffer because of negligence. Yes, South Glendora has great prices, but with this clinic I feel like you’re getting what you pay for.
August 05 · Natania (Nat)One of the best Animal Hospitals around. I have taken a few of my pets here, dogs and cats for various reasons and they always provide the best attention and care. Thank you
August 23 · Sean MasonOn 1/19/23 I came home and I could tell my cat Sparky was in distress. It was very early in the morning and I thought he was going to die. I knew pretty quickly he was completely blocked as this happened about 3 years ago when he was 2 years old. I called around franticly and one vets said $2500-$2700 and the others just said take him to the emergency where I knew it would be even more expensive. Well I remembered this vet from when I was a kid and they were reasonable and my parents took our animals there so I called South Glendora Animal hospital and they said bring him in. It was a little out of the way but I felt it was my best option. Anyway the doctor confirmed it was full blockage and then I asked him the price. I said I wanted the minimum because I couldn't afford all the different tests and bloodwork. He was so understanding and gave me a very reasonable price 785.00 and that included vaccinations. I am beyond thrilled with the result. I bought my him a bunch of special urinary canned cat food (some of which the doctor gave me) and it was touch and go because he can get blocked again very easily but he's doing pretty good now and I'm just very grateful this wonderful doctor was able to save him because he would have surely died if he wasn't unblocked soon. The whole place was very nice and professional. Thank so much for saving my Sparky.
January 27 · Carol AbrahamAlways so incredibly nice, knowledgeable and honest! No matter what situation, prices are always reasonable and far lower than any other vet. What I truly appreciate about them is everyone working there acts like they want to be there and they are genuine animal lovers. I always feel like I took my pet to the RIGHT place. Like I said, they are honest, caring and so reasonable.
October 03 · Bronwyn LarsenVery reasonably priced care for your pet. Honest doctor will not try to sell you on unnecessary services or medications. Have had three dogs come here for spaying and other needs with excellent experiences every time. Very friendly and helpful staff as well. Just brought in my new pup for his first checkup and shots. Will continue to come here and highly recommend them to anyone with a dog or cat!!
