May 19, 2025 · Carolann KumminsI highly recommend the Holistic Animal Health Clinic for your animals. Before I started going there, it was very stressful for me and my dogs, on vet day. Since I changed their vet to HAHC, both my dogs 🐕 are very happy and excited to go.All of the personal are very knowledgeable and friendly. Dr. Downey and Dr. Brandt go above and beyond to keep my dogs healthy and to treat them when they are injured or sick.
Mar 17, 2025 · Tk ElworthyMy brother's Golden Retriever shared a familial bond with my own dog, who sadly succumbed to cancer not long ago. This experience led us to question the quality of commercial pet food, suspecting it may have played a role in our dogs health issues.Motivated to make a positive change, we transitioned to a raw diet based on valuable guidance from the knowledgeable staff here.Remarkably, just one month into the raw diet, Gracie has shed 5 pounds and undergone a remarkable transformation. The newfound vitality and increased energy levels are truly remarkable, and we can't help but marvel at the positive impact this dietary shift has had on our beloved pet. The insightful advice and support from the staff have been invaluable, making us wish that all veterinarians could be as dedicated and informed as these individuals.
Dec 10, 2023 · Jeff DonatelloDr. Downey is the absolute best vet I have ever worked with. We have had her as our vet for many years with our beloved dog Duke who lived a long and wonderful life because of Dr. Downey's nutritional advice, treatment when he tore his acl, his allegies and everthing in between. I trust her judgement on all fronts for the care of our dogs. When we moved out of state - trying to find a vet that is as knowledgable, compassionate and offers very specific treatments to each dog is impossible. We now have 3 dogs - live part time in NC and part time in FL - we have vets in both locations but Dr. Downey is the best by far. I send her our lab results to review and always go by her suggestion and guidance. Where other doctor's missed something - she has caught it and corrected things before they become too problematic. For me - finding someone you can trust your babies with - and know they are in the best care and hands is crucial. I find that with Dr. Downey and her team. We love you and can't thank you enough for all your do for our best friends.
Aug 18, 2024 · Kim D. WynnVery discouraged with my experience here with Dr. Brandt. During the visit it became clear that the records they had asked me to send prior to the visit had not been reviewed as the vet continued to make recommendations that I knew were not in my dogs best interest. When asked she confirmed she had not read them. I was later told that if a new patient cancels it's a waste of time for them to review records before hand as they are extremely busy. The $325 new client fee, I was not informed of until I asked, plus the $150 in supplements the vet sent me home with that all had many ingredients that my dog is allergic too was quite disconcerting. During a follow up call the vet kept asking what she was allergic to and I asked if she could just please look over her records as there were many. She was only interested in the main allergies. I've paid a lot of money in previous vet visits to get the information included in those records and having that information would have been valuable to the visit and minimized the the length of time the doctor and I spent together going over things that could have been reviewed. I'm devastated that I've spend another $500 on top of the other $1000's trying to get adequate care for my dog with the excuse that they are just too busy, and that my dogs case is complicated and will take time and that maybe holistic isn't the route to go. I totally understand it could take time, but it's taking more time and money than necessary due to not paying attention to the information I already have about my dog. I suggested they not take more new clients if they are too busy or charge a fee up front to review records. All recommendations the vet made were just from what I told her. No record review and no testing was done. I wish I could get even a bit of a reimbursement to go towards finding someone that will have the time for my girl. I am very low income so this visit was a huge stretch for me financially and I feel I've gone backward instead of forward.
