★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We had an exceptional first experience for Bronco! Very thorough care from Kevin and Dr. Megan. They took the time and patience to answer all of our questions in detail. Thank you for a great first visit!* Update**Almost a year later and we are still so impressed by the care we receive! I cannot compliment the staff enough! Today’s appointment was a little different as Grandma had to bring Bronco (she was equally impressed with the care/service). Thank you to Casper for always being so delightful and thorough on the phone and Monique for knowing our dog and assisting Bronco in and out of the car! This office truly makes going to the vet a stress free experience! Thank you!
July 02 · Katie MahoneyI took my cat, Dmitri, here for 3 years while I attended grad school and I cannot say enough good things. Growing up with animals, I have been to almost a dozen different vets and most of them were headaches. This clinic is a completely different experience.First, out of around 15 visits, the longest I have ever had to wait for a room was 5 minutes. Meanwhile, every single time I have been to the Cornell vet, I've had to wait around 20 minutes while there was at least 5 different animals near my cat (who was usually injured or sick at the time).Second, I could not ask for better communication. Every time I received instructions or even general advice about taking care of Dmitri, I would also receive that information printed and emailed to me. If Dmitri was sick, someone from this clinic would call or text after the visit to check in and see how he was responding to the medication. I never felt like they were just collecting a check like other vets, I really felt like they cared about my cat's wellbeing.Third, I will never forget the time that Dmitri had to be rushed to the emergency vet. He was only 5 months old and got an ulcer in his eye. His eye began to swell and puss. I called two different "emergency" vets who declined to see him because they were either too busy (it was 6:00 am) or their eye doctor was on call and this wasn't an "emergency". I had no idea what to do, Dmitri was crying and his eye was getting worse by the minute. I decided to try Veterinary Care of Ithaca even though they are not an emergency vet. Not only did they take Dmitri immediately, but the receptionist even called the other emergency clinics that declined to see him and reminded them that they are obligated to treat injured animals in cases of emergency like this one. Not only did they take care of Dmitri's eye, but they also made sure I could still attend my classes that day while they cared for him.I would trust this vet with all of my pets, and I am so grateful for their consistent care and understanding. If you live in Ithaca or even within 30 minutes, I would seriously consider this clinic for your primary vet.
June 16 · Sarah AbecI'm so glad my dogs go here. We had a horrible experience with Cayuga Pet Hospital, but Vet Care of Ithaca has always treated my dogs with love and respect. They are very attentive when concerns are brought up and have helped coordinate care when referrals to a higher level were needed. They also stay on top of what’s happening throughout the process.I appreciate their policy of checking in the day after a sick visit to see if my dog is feeling better, and communication with the staff through the app is very easy.Best vet in Ithaca.
February 14 · Tessa FOur puppy got injured and the staff was welcoming, the doctor was amazing and they were able to give her the care she needed, with smiles and professionalism. Excellent care.
December 25 · Jennifer WhitakerI love Dr. Biasillo -- she is smart, thoughtful and an excellent listener. I was hugely bummed when my previous vet retired and never thought I'd find a replacement. My dog has MAST tumors so needs a fairly significant amount of attention. What a huge relief to find another highly competent and attentive vet!
