★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1My cat died 3 days after being spayed here. She was fine for 2 days. The third day she wouldn't eat and was lethargic. I was going to bring her in first thing in the morning, but she was gone by then.I assume she must have gotten an infection from the surgery.Over $800 for spay and vaccines, and they obviously do not perform a quality service.
June 06 · Jeff FletcherPLEASE READ BEFORE BRINGING ANY PETS HERE!!I had a dog, a healthy and silly one, and she lived 14 happy years. She started having spasms; she would shake uncontrollably. We took her to this location, Banfield Vet, here in Wylie. We have taken our dogs there for years, same doctor. They prescribed her a medication, and we noticed it made her spasms worse, way worse after only 2 days. We called because it seemed like they had poisoned my dog. It's like her whole body would tense up, she'd fall over, and whine these horrible cries for 10-15 minutes. They told us to stop the medicine IMMEDIATELY. She looked better, but the damage was done. Her condition worsened every day.. They said it was the little balls she had spreading all over her and that she needed surgery, but each time they said something different. First, she needed surgery, then they said it was too dangerous to operate on such an old dog; they then gave her more medications. nothing. worked. She stopped eating, she would throw up twice a day, she was weak, and she was in so much pain. Then, when my sister was taking her to Banfield, she passed out; the only option was to put her down. It was so traumatic for my sister that everything she saw left her completely stunned; no one showed kindness or remorse as my sister held our dog in her arms. No one offered any condolences; they just turned a cold shoulder. My sister cries every night, she blames herself for what happened.... Banfield prescribed random things to my dog, never wanted to see her, and when she died, they offered nothing but a cold shoulder?... and now they are charging us even though my baby is gone... when we were there in person we asked if we could end the plan when she passed, the response was yes the plane will end if and when she passes. Well, now they're denying that this was said and are asking for more than $1,000 for all the exams they did on her.... we cannot afford this. And it is disgusting that they would even think it's acceptable to ask for this amount of money; it's disgusting that they even ask for money when they killed my dog. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOU'RE PETS HERE.
August 28 · JuliannaI had the worst experience ever in this Banfield Hospital. I won't recommend this location for any pet.My cat was unattended for 6+ hours in her carrier. I dropped her off in the morning at 9:30 am to ensure she was seen quickly. I called at 1:20 pm and they said "she is not quite ready, we will call you as soon as you can pick her up". I went there at 3:30 pm because they never called me and she was not ready. Then at 3:45 pm the started the check out process with these details:- From the 2 vaccines needed, she only received one because they ran out of the other one during the day with other patients.- The deworming medice was give it to me because the cat wasn't happy and they didn't want to give it to her. Of course 6 hours in a carrier, no water, no litter.- Blood work wasn't ready. When the results arrived, they said all good but there were 2 things with a red flag, I searched about it and one of those is normal when a cat is not well hydrated before the exams. Of course many hours without water in the carrier. And the worse part is that she was wet from head to tail with pee and poop. Maybe she had an accident but after 6+ hours in a carrier, I can't blame her. Then I had to give her a shower at home and she was so stressed. The doctor called me to apologize but the details she provided didn't match with the story. After 10 years with the Wellness plan, I'm planning to withdraw her and look for a different option. I won't recommend this location.
July 01 · Denise Villamil ArizaFriendliness is hit or miss and it takes a long time to get in and out of there. I was happy with the services the vet provided but it's expensive compared to our regular vet. I went there for a "quick" vaccine bc I thought it would be easier than going to our vet...not the case. I hindsight it would have been cheaper and easier to go to our vet even though further away
