I have been coming to Newton for over 30 years. My account number is in the five hundredth’s, which means I have been here a LONG TIME. I travel 1 hour to here because I feel that my 4 dogs get the best treatment. So today Tuesday July 19th I had to come with my really sick Golden Truro. I had to come as an emergency because they didn’t have any appointments. I showed up at 3pm and a vet tech took me into a waiting room around 3:40. I went into a room and sat there till 4:30 and finally asked if they forgot about Truro. A little while later a really nice girl came in an said she was sorry had anyone told me what was happening. I said no, she came back and said there was another emergency. I totally get that, so at 5:12pm a Dr Chun came in and said there was a shift change (at 4pm) and that was it! I sat here and cried not only for worry over my dog but sad that a place I TRULY TRUSTED DISAPPOINTED ME! I did not want to post this review but since Dr Coslow doesn’t have a voicemail, I then did the next best thing! I remember when this place was a small little practice that cared…I’m still here at 6:00 pm and my Tru is having tests done. Hopefully all will turn out well. Dr Coslow do not loose people who trusted the services your hospital provides. What a SHAME!! - John Somers

Newton Veterinary Hospital is a long-established, full-service veterinary and emergency care hospital that has proudly served the pet population of Sussex County for over 50 years, since its founding in 1960 by Dr. William Gray. Dr. Don Costlow, DVM, took over as President of the hospital in July of 1997 and further solidified its commitment to advanced care by founding the Animal Emergency Hospital of NJ in 2002. Under Dr. Costlow's leadership, the hospital moved into a new 11,000 square-foot, state-of-the-art building on the same property in June 2001, significantly expanding its capabilities.
