I found it essential to share my observations regarding the hospital in question, because the quality and level of care seem to be dropping immensely. I take my Pomeranian dog to this hospital since he was 6 weeks old, he is now 13 years old. We use to have wonderful care and reasonable prices, things have changed, mostly with prices. The last veterinarian I saw, Dr. Drummer, was gentle and could listen to my concerns and address them. She spent as much time as necessary in the room.The staff at this establishment are, for the most part, gentle and compassionate. Such attentiveness is commendable and deserves recognition.However, the big shadow over my experience is the pricing structure. The services offered, while professional, come at a steep cost. A notable instance includes the charge of $7 only to write a prescription after a service bill exceeding $400. Apr 30, 2025 · Rossana L. MagalhaesI was unfortunate enough to need 2 separate visits to complete a single exam for my cat. The staff did not complete any of the exam in my presence, despite my request to do so during my second visit. While I understand vet visits are stressful events for animals, veterinarian staff should expect this and be prepared to handle animals experiencing stress. During my initial visit, the staff took my cat from our exam room to the back and within 5 minutes the vet came into the room telling me my cat was too unruly to complete any part of the exam without him being on drugs. She immediately prescribed a pill to give him and told me to come back next week. Given how little time my cat was in the back I highly doubt the vet attempted to interact with my cat before getting to business and I seriously doubt they actually put in any effort to restrain him before throwing in the towel. I returned the next week, with my cat drugged up, and requested as much of the exam take place with me present, either in the room or me going back with him. I was told they would do so after getting his weight in the back. They took my cat back and within 10 minutes the vet comes in and informs me they did NOT listen to my request to be present and had gone ahead with the exam. She then tells me they were still unable to get blood and he would need to be sedated to do so. I inquired if they could do the blood draw with me present (so my cat was not entirely by himself around strangers and would perhaps be more relaxed). The vet immediately told me no, I'm not allowed to hold him, which was not at all what I asked, I did not inquire on holding him during the blood draw. So, I rephrased and asked if I could just be in the room. She immediately told me no and that was that. It appears the only solution they have for handling anxious animals is to drug them. On top of disregarding my wishes while I was there, the vet was extremely condescending when she spoke to me during both interactions. I will never place my cat in their care again. I am not unfamiliar with veterinarian offices but am appalled at the interactions that occurred here compared to other locations my family has gone to in the past. I have never once experienced such difficulties with a clinic and have never felt such skepticism in placing my animal in a vet's care. I do not wish such feelings on any pet owner.

Every single person there you can truly feel their kindness, concern , and passion for what they do. They treated my pet with the utmost care and made sure I understood every step of the process. The facility is clean, well-organized, and welcoming. Doctor went above and beyond to ensure Mochi received the best treatment possible. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for top-notch veterinary care
Mar 28, 2025 · VP OckletreeDon't go!Still will never forgive these people it's been years now but they let 2 of my dogs die I should have learned the 1st time my beautiful Daisy had urinary tract infection which they left her in a kennel all day and called me to say they were sending her over to a overnight hospital which day wanted to go in and do surgery right away which was too late that was in 2011 and then in 2016 my Sarg Had a big lump come up on the end of his rear and I had them check it in it and they told me it was benign and one morning I got up and my dog was dead so I will never forget these people and I recommend you just don't go there I will come back every so often and do another review because I don't want them to ever forget what they did to me and my babies

I started taking my pets here back in the 00's so it saddens that I even have this to say. Honestly I stayed here too long...I was connected to the building and the care my animals used to get here. But all the doctors I knew left. It screams ,the past few years, that they have been bought out.The level of care dropped so steeply. They don't even act like they care anymore. You see the actual vet for maybe 2 mins. Everything costs so much more than other places,even the emergency clinic. We took our cat ,whom has been going to GJ his whole life ,to the emergency clinic bc they couldn't get him in at GJ to be seen at all that week. The level of care was so much better,cheaper,and they even gave us a full sized bag of Science Diet food for free. Also included a prescription for a year that they don't charge to have verified. If you can sign away all your money then they love you at GJ but if not you get treated like trash.Dr.Barker has so many bad reviews on here and yet remains. I don't know how. The crap she pulls is probably illegal. Forced drugging of animals she's barely had any contact with saying that they are too unruly ,calling me in the middle of my cats teeth surgery telling me she's charging me now by the minute...that my cat is currently under anesthesia and she can't give me an estimate. When I said "Hey my credit card does have a limit" she raised her voice and threatened that she'd wake my cat up and we'd have to finish the surgery when I got myself together. I had to have her call my husband bc I went into a panic attack. She was extremely unprofessional on the phone with him as well. After the surgery of my cats teeth removal...no one told us anything or gave us any information about what was even wrong with her. Of course they wanted their money though. We refused to see her ever again. Dr.Drummer is fantastic. And I'd continue to see her if we weren't priced out.During Covid I brought a new cat in whom tested positive for Giardia. I was keeping him separate from my other cats luckily. They acted like it was no big deal and didn't tell us what it was or prescribe meds. I had to do all the research I could on my own and continue to separate him as to not pass it to my other cats ...and then need medicine for all of them. I had to call on multiple occasions to tell various people what his symptoms still were and that he had tested positive for Giardia and ask them why I couldn't have treatment for him. It was a nightmare that went on for over a month.So just proceed with caution. I think their score is only as high as it is currently bc they WERE good for such a long time.
