★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I have been taking my 3 pups here for years. One is medically fragile and has to get fluids 2x a week. They are so sweet and take care of him. My other 2 are 50lb+ pit mixes. They take care of all their needs as long as I stay up to date on their basic yearly visits. So blessed to have a vet office that cares this much ❤️ thank you for taking care of them!
July 09 · Rebecca MarieIf I didn’t have to give 1 star I wouldn’t. Myself and another customer had an appointment and due to something happening they closed without cancellation, no calls nothing. When I call there was a recording, press 1 or 2 if you have a question or need help. Called 3 times and was told the website says it’s open, called again and was told to drive over there, note on door.Payed 2000 for a teeth cleaning, over priced, they did his nails . Called go for nail trim and receptionist was rude and said I thought you don’t want to come here anymore. I called to another vca vet about no notification of closing and getting the runaround when asking if they were open or not.Don’t get you dogs nails done there $40.50 and they don’t quote you the price before they do it. Never would I go there again. They are overpriced and rude.
July 30 · Laurie WalkerUntil recently we have always had excellent care here for both of our pets…but things have changed. All the vets have left this practice except 1. Makes you wonder why that is??? If you call to make an appointment they have none available & refer you to another VCA nearby. This is fine except they then won’t honor the care provided at the facility that they recommended within the VCA network. My pet was seen and had a full exam at VCA Sunset 3.5 months ago because Manazanita didn’t have any appointments - now Manzanita won’t refill prescriptions unless we pay for another full exam in their location. This was not disclosed to me until AFTER they drew blood for a heartworm test. If they can’t provide services & refer you to an in network facility they should stand by their services.
August 05 · Steve UptonI almost never write reviews, but the staff here is so amazing I felt compelled to share my experience. Firstly, Dr. Dillion was so informative in our first exam and really took the time to thoughtfully answer all my questions. I never felt rushed in the appointment and she was so incredibly patient with my dog even when he was super anxious about the exam.My dog was extremely nervous after needing to get his vaccinations, so the staff allowed me to schedule “happy visits” to get him desensitized to the process and smells without having to do a full exam. Becca in particular has truly helped him so much with getting over the fear of the vets office. In our visits, she watches to see his level of discomfort and always goes at his pace to make sure he has a positive association. She gave me tips for what I can do at home to help his anxiety and always answers all of my MANY questions. When my dog needed a procedure that required him to be sedated, we even did “practice run” happy visits specifically to prepare him for the process and materials they would use during the procedure. She brought the materials out so that my dog could sniff and not be scared by them. Becca really has gone above and beyond to help my dog and I’m so grateful for her and for all the wonderful staff here.
March 27 · Emily MastersonYes the doctors here are amazing but I had an appointment this week to get a vaccination booster for our dog and now after calling to reschedule they are saying we are overdue for a physical and are insisting on charging us for a mandatory physical which is $100.00 on top of the cost of her vaccine. Thanks but no thanks you have completely driven away our business!!Edit: VCA is now demanding that we schedule a physical for our dog before we can even pick up flea and tick meds for her. No explanation was given. Just that this is "standard practice". If this company really cared about animals they would knock it off with this bait and switch garbage.
