ABQ Spay and Neuter Reviews
As much as I love our regular vet, being quoted over $900 for a spay and microchip was just way out of my budget. ABQ Spay and Neuter provided these services for a quarter of the price. They were able to schedule my appointment in a timely manner. As soon as I scheduled I was emailed detailed instructions for the appointment and aftercare. Drop off and check-in on the morning of surgery was simple and my dog was ready to come home by early afternoon. Everything is included so we were sent home with the E-collar and pain medicine no extra stops at the pet store or pharmacy. They gave an additional paper with the aftercare instructions and include the contact info for after hours emergency vets as well. The staff was very friendly to me and welcoming to my dog and I felt comfortable leaving her in their hands. Breezy is on the road to recovery now, adjusting to the cone, but happy to be home and resting comfortably. ABQ Spay and Neuter is a blessing to the city and doing their part alleviate extra stress on our city shelters by offering these services at an affordable rate.
Jun 13, 2025 · Caitlin PaceABQ Spay and Neutering is a true blessing. Our Chihuahua had cryptorchidism (both testicles retained), and our regular vet estimated the surgery at $900–$1,500—completely out of reach for us as students. At ABQ, we paid just $220 for the surgery, a recovery suit, nail trim, and a 3-year rabies booster.I booked the appointment in January and was scheduled for February 28th, but the day after booking, they emailed offering a cancellation spot the following week. Incredible!Dr. Gena Esposito and her team are skilled, compassionate, and truly dedicated to making pet care affordable. Our dog was having trouble peeing, and his testicles were growing—possibly even cancer. It was urgent. The surgery went perfectly, and within two days, he was back to his normal self. The recovery suit made a huge difference. He would have been miserable in a cone! Now, he’s lifting his leg to pee again, which he hadn’t done for months.I cannot thank this team enough. Instead of chasing profit, they’re helping families care for their pets without financial ruin. Albuquerque is so lucky to have them!
Feb 18, 2025 · Amanda Lea KempfIf your looking for a place to service your pets this place was amazing. It's very clean, staff was very supportive and took the time to answer any questions we had and even the recovery was great. The price has a break down of everything included even pain meds for recovery. over all experience for our pet/family and our self was a 10/10! Thank you ABQ spay and neuter for taking care of Bonni during her surgery and stay. don't think people tell you enough how much your staff really make a difference!!!
Jun 15, 2025 · Naomi SanchezI am incredibly grateful to have found ABQ Spray and Neuter. Their genuine care for pets is evident in everything they do. After the sudden loss of my dear little cousin, I took in her beloved dog, Callie, who required a lot of medical attention since she'd never been to a vet before. What would have cost me $5,000-$6,000 at a private vet was just under $900 here. I'm so thankful for their affordable pricing and their compassion for our furry friends. Thanks to the kind-hearted team at ABQ Spray and Neuter, I was able to get Callie the care she needed without the financial strain. I'm truly relieved and appreciative
Feb 26, 2025 · Michelle MartinezI had my 2 French bulldogs spayed. The fee of the surgery is a lot cheaper as compared to our regular vet. The check in process was smooth and they updated me after the surgery that it went well. My dogs are recovering really well and thank you for taking care of Soju and Kimchi. :)
