★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our dog was bitten by a baby rattlesnake so we immediately jumped in the car. I called ahead to alert them of what happened and Jordan (at reception) said to walk right in when we arrived. Sure enough when we came in they grabbed her and took her straight back to start treatment. Dr. Cross walked us through the protocol to treat this life threatening bite and answered all of our questions. Although my husband and I were stressed and scared (and I was crying), we felt our furbaby was in the best of hands. She spent the night and was discharged the next morning. Anna was one of the vet techs who watched over her and provided care for our dog during her stay. She said she really enjoyed taking care of her and it was so comforting to hear. Thank you also to Teresa who was monitoring her throughout the night. I can't thank the entire staff enough for their love and professionalism. We felt as thought they treated our dog as if she was their own. It is clear they are all passionate about what they do. Thank you for saving our girl. We are beyond grateful.
April 14 · Heather Kohler ValpredaTook my young 11 month old Labrador puppy Ollie in early on a Sunday morning when I awoke and he was horribly swollen and very uncomfortable. They took him back immediately, and were very caring. The pricing is very fair and transparent. I have had multiple experiences with other dogs with emergency vets for various issues, and this BY FAR was the most transparent, thorough, and complete. Ollie is on the mend from an allergic reaction to likely swallowing a bee or bug. - and the staff even fielded my call very early Monday morning when he was uncomfortable to get some further treatment advice. I am grateful for this facility, and it is definitely the “go to” for my emergency needs going forward.
April 28 · Stacey McIlroyLosing my beloved cat Tako was the most heartbreaking experience I’ve ever had, but the kindness, empathy, and thoughtfulness shown by the staff at Animal Urgent Care South Orange County brought me genuine comfort during the darkest time. From the moment I brought Tako in during his emergency, the entire team treated him—and me—with such tenderness and compassion. After his passing, I received a letter in the mail containing his paw print, a packet of forget-me-not seeds, and a handwritten condolence card signed by all the staff. That gesture moved me to tears. It made me feel that Tako’s life was seen, respected, and remembered not just by me, but by everyone who cared for him.In moments of deep grief, such small acts of love and sincerity can mean everything. Thank you, Animal Urgent Care South Orange County, for not only taking care of my cat with medical professionalism, but also for showing such genuine humanity and heart. I will forever be grateful.
March 25 · Annabel LiWe always have a wonderful experience here, despite the circumstances. We have two yellow labs and over the years they have had quite the range of illnesses or injuries that always seem to strike after our normal vet closes. We really appreciate how thorough the team is here and provides us with options. They are always leading with empathy and compassion and make each visit as stress free as possible. Appreciate the complimentary snacks and drinks in the lobby as well. We love the calming fish tank, too! Hope to never come back but if we do we know we are in great hands.
May 22 · Maria BallLast evening, just before dinner, I took my dog, Luke, for quick walk to a green belt about a half block away. While we walked in the grass, my Jack Russell terrier stepped on a black bee. My dog, quickly, started licking his hind paw. I saw the bee and brushed it away, as my dog began limping and licking at his foot. I rushed him to Animal Urgent Care in Mission Viejo where he was treated promptly by Dr. Kimberly Hanzlik and team. They found the bee's stinger in Luke's foot and extracted it. An order of Metacam was prescribed for Luke as well as a few bites of chicken to eat before ingesting the Metacam. Luke was in pain until he took his medicine and then slept all night long in comfort!Thank you Dr. Hanzlik and team for taking "excellent" care of my little Jack Russell, Luke. He's walking normally today and stopped liking his wound shortly after swallowing his dose of Metacam. Oh, and he loved the bites of chicken, too! Most sincerely,Patricia W. and Luke
