BLVD Vet River North Reviews
My dog can be an anxious handful, and both the vet and tech were very patient with her, making her feel as comfortable as she could have been. Both were flexible and asked for my input about the best way to handle her anxiety during the exam. It’s always relieving to find people who care! Plus, having Saturday hours available was super helpful for me. I’d highly recommend!
Jun 11, 2025 · Delaney WillinghamI can’t recommend enough. When we first moved here, I was worried about my pup and booked an appointment. Rather than just putting me on the schedule and charging for visit fees, they called to follow up for clarification and then were able to immediately give me information on what would need to be presenting to raise concern. I was able to feel less anxious and save on unnecessary appointment fees. We of course went back to establish care later on and I’m so grateful we have—this team is amazing. We now have another dog who has been a bit of a frequent flyer. The staff here has been so patient, so empathetic, and just so helpful throughout this whole thing. I have never had a veterinary team so patiently walk us through options while navigating veterinary care. It is so hard to get care for pets when they aren’t able to communicate for themselves, but this clinic staff truly does make us feel like our concerns are being heard and our pets are being cared for
May 29, 2025 · LilyI'm not sure how I feel about this place. I started going here a few times since I moved from the west coast to Chicago. (1) Their costs as a chain are double what the local vet I used to go to charges. (2) Opaque pricing -they would often throw medicine without telling me the cost. My old vet was upfront, saying this would cost x and y, it is up to you if you want to do it. BLVD vet made it seem like it's not optional. Shady billing practices. (3) Availability -oftentimes I was unable to reach the desk by phone and brought straight to voice mail. My last vet had a phone queue so at least you had a chance of talking to someone if you were willing to wait. One time I was unable to reach for several days, so I ended up taking my cat to the Emergency vet instead. Strangely, the emergency vet and BLVD vet have similar pricing. I might as well go to the emergency vet instead of it's going to cost the same and I get better bedside manner. (4) Poor bedside manner, it seems like the staff are very unhappy to work there. Overall, I would rate this place average and give it three stars since it's close to my apartment.
Apr 29, 2025 · Maria SanchezWe have been going to Boulevard for almost 3 years now with our two cats, and they have been nothing but wonderful. Our oldest cat is 18, and the quality of care they provide is more than top notch. Every single vet here gives it their all, and the other staff is wonderful. Their care is incredibly personalized. We’ve had our ups and downs with her health, and they’ve been there every step of the way.
Mar 14, 2025 · Ashlyn RoyceMy dog had a foot injury and this vet took her same day. My dog is extremely timid and scared of most people. The ENTIRE staff was so kind and slow with her she definitely felt more at ease. They were informative and not pushy at all. I will be making this my full time vet now that I’ve had such a great experience:)
