GoodVets Streeterville Reviews
We only have positive things to share about GoodVets Streeterville! We have a 6 year old cat who tends to get extremely anxious and even hostile at the vet. For years, going to the vet has been a nervous and stressful experience for us and our cat.Our initial telehealth visit with Dr. Post was incredibly helpful. She answered our questions with patience, even though it was almost closing time, and even offered to take a look at our carriers. The entire team--Facundo, Candy, Laura, and Dr. Creger were all extremely professional and kind. They did not make us feel bad for having a spicy cat or asking a lot of questions. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure that the visit was smooth and least stressful as possible. They were very gentle with her but also got the job done--exactly what we looked for in vets! Our baby came back has a healthier cat, and that's what matters the most!
Jun 14, 2025 · JI cannot say enough good things about the GoodVets in Streeterville! From the moment we walked in, the entire team was warm, welcoming, and incredibly attentive to my dog, Piper.Josh, in particular, went above and beyond to make sure Piper was comfortable and well cared for. His kindness, patience, and expertise truly made all the difference. It’s clear that everyone here genuinely cares about the animals they treat, and I feel completely confident that Piper was in the best hands. If you’re looking for a vet that treats your pet like family in Chicago, this is the place to go. Highly recommend!

Jun 24, 2025 · Weihan HuangI'm writing this review after taking about a month to see if I was just upset, but no, I do believe that I was treated poorly and the whole situation was bad. I brought my two 3 month old kittens here to be seen for a well check after receiving them from an overseas breeder (I know, wtf, it's a long story and yes I'm that bougie.) This visit was fine. One of the cats had crusty eyes; a bit of discharge that came and went throughout the day. The vet gave them both a clean bill of health except the one with the eye thing, she said it was probably an eye infection and I should keep an eye on it (haha) and prescribed an ointment for me use daily. I did this as directed for a week, and there was no change. I called and the vet said that was concerning, said it was very likely an infection and prescribed some kind of medicated eye drops to use, and told me to keep a very close eye on it and if this didn't work, to come in right away. So I did the full course of the eye drops, 21 days, and it got better! So I was relieved. In the meantime, the app they have you download was blowing up telling me that my cats were overdue for their next well check and reminding me every day to make another appointment, which felt like, way too soon for some indoor kittens, but OK there must be a rhythm to these things and as a new cat owner, I was extremely vulnerable to not knowing what to do. In the meantime, waiting another week, the cat's eye crusties actually came back. So I pulled myself together, made an appointment, and in we went. This is when things got weird. So we're seeing the vet and first of all, this vet (a diff one) kept asking me things that were clearly in their chart from the first visit. (Do they have their shots?) so much so that I actually said to, "Have you read the charts?" The other thing was when we got to the eyes issue, I said I was concerned because we had gone through 2 expensive solutions and neither of them worked - so what would we do about the eye infection? Her answer was, "some cats just have crusty eyes." AFTER MAKING ME THINK THIS WAS A SERIOUS ISSUE that required 2 different medications for over 2 months, the answer was, "maybe just get some moisturizing wipes on amazon". In addition, she asked "why did you bring them in again so soon?" BECAUSE YOUR APP KEPT TELLING ME I HAD TO and because YOU SCARED ME INTO THINKING MY KITTEN HAD A SERIOUS EYE INFECTION. Lastly, the tech took their weight and I asked what they weighed and she said, "don't worry they are healthy" and I said, "I know that I need to know so I can monitor their food amounts." Like, duh, I'm not asking for fun. Isn't that an important thing a cat owner needs to know?To top it off, she kept referring to the cats as girls in the appointment. I corrected her 3 times, and then gave up. I was not being listened to. The whole thing felt weird and offputting, not to mention it was expensive. We will not be back to GoodVets Streeterville.
Jan 11, 2025 · William FitzRoyTl;dr poor communication, oversight, and high turnover. I booked an appointment for my cat to establish care and get his 2nd FVRCP booster—due April 19th, 2025. When I called to schedule, I explicitly confirmed that coming in shortly after that date would be fine. They said it wouldn't be a problem.I also sent his full vaccination record on March 24th, which clearly stated he needed his 2nd FVRCP booster by 4/19/25, and his rabies renewal was due March 2026.Fast forward to today’s appointment: the vet tells me my cat doesn’t need a booster. Had I not pushed back and asked questions, they would have let me leave with an undervaccinated cat—exposed to one of the most common and contagious viruses in urban areas (Chicago included!). They even suggested my cat had already received the booster—despite the fact that the due date was in the future. That makes no sense. Now, because of their mistake, we have to restart the FVRCP series entirely, meaning more shots for my cat, more cost for me, and more stress all around. And yes, they know I have another cat at home—yet they were prepared to just let this slide? The constant staff turnover and lack of attention to detail give me little confidence. We’ve scheduled the necessary booster to get things back on track, but I will not be returning for future care. Hoping to find a more established, consistent practice that prioritizes accuracy and the health of all pets in the household.
