Dewey Veterinary Clinic Introduce
For pet owners and livestock producers in the Dewey, Oklahoma, region and the greater Bartlesville area, finding a veterinary practice that combines expertise with genuine care is paramount. **Dewey Veterinary Clinic** stands as a local resource for comprehensive animal health services, led by the highly regarded Dr. Charlie Stites. The clinic serves the community not only as a **Veterinarian** office for routine checkups but also as an **Animal hospital** and a dedicated **Kennel** facility.
Dr. Stites has built a strong reputation across the local Oklahoma community, attested by numerous client testimonials that highlight his calm demeanor, extensive knowledge, and compassionate approach—even in stressful, emergency situations. Having a veterinarian who is both highly skilled in the medical aspects of animal care and deeply invested in the well-being of the animal and the owner is invaluable for long-term pet health management.
The clinic is recognized for its commitment to serving a diverse clientele, including not just house pets but also potentially large animals, which is a crucial necessity in Oklahoma's rural landscape. Whether you are a lifelong Oklahoma resident with working dogs and cattle, or a new homeowner with family pets, Dewey Veterinary Clinic aims to be a cornerstone of animal healthcare in Washington County.
Dewey Veterinary Clinic is conveniently located to be accessible for residents throughout Dewey, Bartlesville, and the surrounding areas of Northern Oklahoma. Its location right off a major highway makes it easy to find and reach, which is especially important for timely visits.
The facility is located at: **13372 US-75, Dewey, OK 74029, USA**.
The clinic prioritizes ease of access for all clients and their animals. Key accessibility features have been integrated into the facility's design to ensure a stress-free visit for everyone:
- **Wheelchair accessible entrance:** Ensuring easy entry and exit from the clinic for all clients.
- **Wheelchair accessible parking lot:** Convenient parking spots reserved to minimize travel distance to the entrance.
In addition to physical accessibility, the clinic operates on a system of scheduled visits to optimize service delivery. **Appointments recommended** is the standing policy. This helps the clinic manage its patient load efficiently, ensuring that Dr. Stites and the staff can dedicate sufficient time and attention to each animal’s needs without lengthy, unpredictable wait times. The presence of a clean **Restroom** also adds to client comfort during their visit.
As a full-service **Animal hospital** and **Veterinarian**, Dewey Veterinary Clinic typically offers a broad range of medical, surgical, and preventative services to address the common and complex health needs of animals in the Oklahoma community. Based on client feedback mentioning treatment for house pets, working dogs, and even emergency large animal care, the service profile is robust. While specific details should always be confirmed by contacting the clinic directly, the expected offerings generally include:
- **Comprehensive Wellness and Preventative Care:** Including routine checkups, physical examinations, vaccinations tailored to local Oklahoma risks, and microchipping.
- **In-House Diagnostics:** Utilizing equipment for immediate testing such as bloodwork, urinalysis, and potentially imaging services (X-rays) to facilitate prompt and accurate diagnosis.
- **Routine and Advanced Surgery:** Performing common surgical procedures like spaying and neutering, as well as soft tissue surgery, with careful attention to pain management.
- **Dental Services:** Providing preventative dental cleanings, exams, and potentially extractions to maintain optimal oral health.
- **Internal Medicine Consultations:** Diagnosis and management of chronic conditions and complex internal diseases.
- **Emergency and Urgent Care:** Providing critical, timely care for unexpected illnesses or injuries, which has been cited in client reviews as being available outside of regular hours when necessary.
- **Large Animal Services:** Given the clientele in the region, services often extend to livestock, including farm calls and haul-in facilities for cattle, horses, and other production animals.
- **Kennel / Boarding Services:** Offering a safe, supervised place for pets to stay while their owners are away, providing peace of mind to Oklahoma travelers.
The key factors that make Dewey Veterinary Clinic a preferred choice for many Oklahoma residents are rooted in the quality of its leadership and the scope of its services:
- **Dr. Charlie Stites' Reputation:** Clients consistently praise Dr. Stites for his calm, knowledgeable, and genuinely caring approach, creating trust during moments of crisis. He is often noted for his willingness to assist in emergencies when other local clinics may be unavailable.
- **Mixed Animal Capability:** The ability to treat both companion animals and farm/large animals makes this a vital, comprehensive resource for the entire Dewey-area agricultural and pet-owning community.
- **Full-Service Facility:** As an **Animal hospital**, the clinic provides more than just routine shots—it handles diagnostics, surgery, and emergency needs, making it a reliable single point of contact for animal health.
- **On-Site Boarding:** The inclusion of a **Kennel** service simplifies pet care by allowing owners to manage health appointments and temporary housing under one trusted roof.

For Oklahoma pet owners, **What is worth choosing** is a veterinary partner that is available, competent, and compassionate. Dewey Veterinary Clinic's strongest asset is the widespread praise for its veterinarian, Dr. Stites, who is often cited as a doctor who goes the extra mile—even seeing patients in the middle of the night for emergencies and successfully handling complex large animal cases like emergency C-sections. This dedication is especially critical in rural areas where immediate access to specialist care is limited. The combination of comprehensive services—from general veterinary care and an **Animal hospital** to a **Kennel**—situated in an accessible location on US-75 makes it a highly valuable and trusted resource.
The fact that appointments are recommended signals an organized practice, but the readiness to "squeeze in" sick animals, as noted in client experiences, demonstrates a necessary level of flexibility and dedication to patient care. For long-term health and emergency preparedness, building a relationship with a clinic known for both professional knowledge and a caring disposition, like Dewey Veterinary Clinic, offers peace of mind to Oklahoma animal owners.

- I’m 55 yrs old moved here 5 years ago. I’ve always had at least 3 dogs at time. We rely on good vets for house dogs and working dogs. We e had good and bad vets over the years but Charlie is hands down the best veterinarian we’ve ever used. So grateful to have found him! July 22 · mdsrealestatellc
- DOG ROUTINE SPAY GONE WRONGAlthough this vet is responsible in his prices, I do not like his work. I have worked in the vet world for many years and never seen/had so many issues after a spay. We took or girl in for a routine spay and everything was fine until it wasn't.#1 I specifically asked for a pain injection and was told they would also send home pain meds (that's great and standard protocol). The pain meds were sent home but pain injection WAS NOT given. No antibiotics were issued.#2 By day 2 bruising began to form around the incision and wound leakage had begun. By day 3 bruising had spread around the entire incision area and now 5 days later STILL wound leaking. I'm currently going to pick up antibiotics from my primary vet.#3 They failed to give any discharge instructions, which is fine because like a stated earlier I have a history in vet med so I'm fully aware of what not to do and what to look for. But not ok for those who dont understand. However, the bruising is absolutely insane and not something I've seen before (I've assisted in many spay and even had my own personal pets spayed and still not had this much trouble). Please find another vet to preform spays and a clinic where the staff at least "pretend" to know what they are doing/what's going on.DO NOT RECOMMEND! FIND ANOTHER VET. THIS IS NOT WORTH YOUR SANITY TO SAVE A FEW BUCKS. August 01 · Elizabeth Edwards
- Excellent service. I really like this veterinary! My dog has seemed like he hasn't been in any pain since surgery! I can tell they have a love for animals to :) May 18 · Josh Pruitt
- Trying to get an appointment for my small 2 pound Yorkie within three or four days I’ve been talking to Melanie and Whitney. I believe front line receptionist. I don’t believe they know what they’re doing. They’re coming or going they keep changing a price on me $50-$60 one day next day $60-$65 the following day $90. I asked to speak to Charles Spitey vet clinic Guy. They keep telling me he’s busy he’s busy he’s busy. I don’t recommend anybody call or use this VET Clinic in Dewey Oklahoma.. They not professional they don’t know what they doing. they just lost a good customer. March 11 · Farhad Ghavami
