Richard Moore, DVM Reviews
Great vet!!!! I’ve only lived in Cartersville for a little less than 2 years and glad I found Dr Moore. He helped my 18 yr old cat live out his final year comfortably as well as his 19 yr old blind sibling before it was time to cross the rainbow bridge.Recently he had to pull several feet of decorative string out of the small intestine that my newer grey tabby rescue had gotten into over the holidays via abdominal surgery .Can’t say enough good things about this vet and his staff. Great practice. This is my grey tabby “Raven” 5 days post op doing fabulous :)
December 14 · John L StubbsDr Richard Moore has been our vet for almost 20 years. Across these years he has assisted us in keeping our total of 3 dogs healthy and happy. My husband and I trust Dr Moore’s judgement, his kindness and compassion is throughout the entire staff.
July 08 · teresa doddThis vet gave my cat with "prediabetic conditions" according to him a steroid shot when he was having issues coughing. This in turn made him urinate up to 10x a day, so we take him back then and now he is discovered to have diabetes. He had no issues like this prior to the visit, just the coughing as I mentioned before. After doing research I come to discover that it is very bad to give a cat steroids (prednisolone) if they have pre-diabetic conditions which the vet had already known as he was the one who said it to me. Steroids can often trigger diabetes in cats. You would think as a veterinarian he would know to look for alternatives other than steroids if he had already said he could be prediabetic. On my next follow up he had no memory or record of him saying these things, and now I have to pay for not only quarterly checkups but insulin and syringes. His answer for this was you can look up anything on the internet and it will tell you what you want to see, and completely just denied it when I questioned. In my opinion it seems as if he had just done whatever he could do to charge extra. I would not take my pet here if I had any other choice.
August 21 · Coleman JeffersDr Moore and his staff is the BEST! Professional, Trustworthy! Everyone is always super nice and most of all they sincerely care about my baby boy 🐕🦺
May 09 · Lynn LaCourI have used Dr Moore for almost thirteen years for my dogs and cats. I have ALWAYS been 100% satisfied with the professionalism, kindness and thoroughness of both the doctor and the staff. You can tell a good office when there's not a lot of turnaround. And the staff has been steady for the entire time that I have been seeing them. My satisfaction and gratitude for this vet and his staff has not been any stronger than recently when I lost My oldest dog. This could have been and was very sad for me And my daughters, but the handling of the whole situation by Dr. Moore, the respect that his staff showed me and my family at the end of my doggy's life and the respect and kindness they showed my Rex in his final moments was touching, and I am eternally greatful. When I called to tell Dr Moore's office the way Rex was behaving, after having been up with him all night, Dr. Moore requested I sent him a video And after I did he held off on a surgery he was about to walk into and asked me to immediately bring him to his office. Although That was Rex's last day, Dr. Mooresconcern for him was above and beyond! I recommend him to Everyone!
