What is Worth Choosing
For a Texas pet owner, choosing a veterinarian is a deeply personal decision that requires trust. Lake Air Animal Hospital presents a strong case for being a top choice, but it is important to consider all aspects of its reputation. On one hand, a customer review describes the business as "very caring and professional," expressing great confidence in the staff's ability to take "excellent care" of their senior dogs, even with their increasing medical issues. This review highlights the clinic’s strong suit: the compassionate and professional quality of its medical and support staff. The praise for their handling of end-of-life care, described as a non-judgmental and caring process, is a powerful endorsement of their empathy, which is invaluable during such a difficult time for a pet owner.
On the other hand, another review points out a significant concern regarding customer service over the phone, describing it as "worse customer service" and "very rushed." This feedback is a crucial reminder that a business's front-facing staff is a direct reflection of its values. For a local pet owner, the initial phone call is often the first point of contact and can be a deal-breaker. However, this is balanced by the overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding the medical care itself. The clinic’s ability to handle complex cases, including exotic pets and orthopedic surgeries, and their clear dedication to professional care makes them a strong contender. The choice often comes down to weighing these factors. For those who value a compassionate, knowledgeable, and professionally skilled medical team for their pet's long-term health, Lake Air Animal Hospital's clinical expertise and proven record of quality care for pets in the Waco community make it a place worth considering, despite some reported inconsistencies in administrative service.

Lake Air Animal Hospital Reviews
This is a very caring and professional business! They have been wonderful taking care of my two dogs and I have confidence in them! Now that my pups are in their senior years, they are having more medical issues! I know that the doctors, vet techs and the other staff will take excellent care of them!
June 04 · Julia LongCalled to validate if my employer paid pet discounts/insurance would work with them. Agnostic of that result- It was some of the worse customer service on the phone I have received. No asking if I wanted to make an appointment. Very rushed. You could tell they did not want to speak with me. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
November 25 · Kody JohnstonThey have always been a caring staff and vet clinic for our dog and cat since moving to Waco 2 years ago. They have a small town feel. We recently had to euthanize our dog and Dr. Ainsworth explained the process and options with compassion, caring, and no judgement. The vet techs were right there with me offering sympathy and comfort as needed. I am very pleased with their service and care during this difficult time. ♥️
May 19 · Rebecca HeidtThey are great there. Very smart and kind to me and little Andy.
December 05 · David JonesI love LAHS! I actually drive 100 miles from Austin to go to see Dr. Chad & his great crew. I've tried vets in Austin and they just don't measure up.They are wonderfully flexible with their schedule and working our dogs in when needed, and don't try to sell you things you don't need. They gently guide your dogs care, and help you make the right decisions for you. I had a very old terrier mix with congestive heart failure, cataracts, etc and they never recommended unnecessary products or procedures. When she died, the vet and staff were genuinely sympathetic and supportive. My new dog Gilly is still getting to know them, but my mom's older dog Chloe absolutely can't wait to go see them when we ask her if she wants to. Dogs know people who care for them and those who don't. If you are looking for people who will truly love your pets and care for an owners needs as well, give them a try!
