Choosing the right breeder is one of the most important decisions you can make when bringing an exotic animal into your home. A glowing review from a satisfied customer highlights why Antebellum Exotics is a worthwhile choice. This client, who adopted two serval kittens named Cage and Raven, praised the breeder's extensive knowledge and consistent communication. The reviewer notes that they researched breeders for "many years" and were referred to us by a local vet specializing in exotics, which speaks to our credibility within the professional community. The review emphasizes the breeder's attentiveness, providing "hours" to look at the kittens and discuss their care without rushing.
The review also highlights our high standards for animal care and socialization. The reviewer was impressed that the kittens were already familiar with harnesses and leashes and had been socialized from a young age. This hands-on approach is crucial for exotic pets and is a testament to our commitment to their well-being. Furthermore, our willingness to accommodate the client's needs, such as holding the kittens for a few extra weeks while the client prepared their home, demonstrates our flexibility and dedication to ensuring a successful adoption.
The ongoing support we provide is also a significant reason to choose us. The client mentions that we stay in "constant communication," sending updates, pictures, and providing expert advice. This level of support transforms the breeder-client relationship into a long-lasting friendship, as the reviewer noted, "Krissy is no longer just our breeder. She is a family friend." This kind of relationship is invaluable, and it ensures that you have a trusted resource for the long haul. While a different review brings up communication issues and concerns about privacy, our general practice and the positive experiences of many clients, including the detailed one mentioned above, show that we strive to provide a supportive and knowledgeable environment. We are dedicated to ensuring a positive experience for all clients, prioritizing the health and safety of our animals and the people who adopt them.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Would like to start by saying I researched African Serval breeders for many years before we were lucky enough to have Krissy and Antebellum Exotics suggested to us by a local vet that specializes in exotics. Once I contacted Krissy, she quickly responded to all our questions about the servals, discussed what kittens were available for adoption, and general questions about the breed itself. There was a female and a male available. We were fortunate to only live 1 1/2 hours away from this breeder. Krissy quickly set up an appointment for us to look at the kittens and discuss if we would be interested in adoption. The appointment went wonderful. We spent hours looking over the kittens and discussing their care of them. We got to meet several of her adult Servals who were absolutely beautiful. She made us feel so welcomed and not rushed at all while deciding. Immediately upon meeting her kittens, you will notice this is no ordinary breeder. Both kittens were already familar with harnesses and were on leashes. Prior to us meeting them, they had their nails freshly trimmed. You could notice that these Servals were very familar with people and have been socialized. This is so important when looking for a serval. Both kittens were already litter boxed trained and just had their own wonderful personalities. It was a hard decision on which kitten to choose. We decided to make the decision very easy. We adopted both kittens. They are brother and sister. Their names are Cage & Raven. After placing a deposit on our beautiful kittens, we had a bit of an issue. We needed to get our home ready for our new babies and also get everything they needed to have an amazing life with us. Also, within 2 weeks, we were moving our son home from college for the summer. She had no problem keeping Cage & Raven for those couple weeks for us to get everything ready. During this time, she was in constant communication with us. Sending us links to items we need for their milk and meals. What she suggests for the care of them and general products that she knows are serval tough. While we waited for our pick-up date, Krissy constantly kept us up to date with pictures, weights, new things they explored, and ate. This was truly wonderful. Any questions we had, we texted or messaged her, and she quickly responded. Finally, our day to get our new babies arrived and couldn't have gone better. Since then, Krissy has been available to us at any time. We talk every week, and she loves getting updates on Cage & Raven. Krissy is no longer just our breeder. She is a family friend. She was one of the first people to follow their Facebook page, Serval Siblings Cage & Raven, and comments every day about their adventures. There are 2 things that are very important when owning a serval. It is a very good vet and an amazing breeder. We are so fortunate to have both. When looking for a breeder who is their for you and your new kitten for the long haul, I can not recommend Krissy and Antebellum Exotics enough. There are many breeders in the country. Few will spend the time and knowledge with you like Krissy. I know this because I spoke to over a dozen before deciding on Antebellum Exotics. If you would like to see the wonderful kittens she breeds, check out our Cage & Raven on Facebook @ Serval Siblings Cage & Raven.https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61559654141483&mibextid=ZbWKwL
December 05 · Jason DaileyI’ve gotten a serval from this lady (Krissy) back in April of 2025. We are so in love with our sweet bundle of Joy that we wanted a second one. Upon doing so.. last night my family received a text from Krissy stating since we don’t send her pictures of our current baby she will NOT allow us to have another. We have already put a down payment on our second baby girl and have named her! We have told Krissy serval times our family is private and does not do social media of ANY form for various reasons. One being because we’ve had a French bull dog we purchased through a breeder and our family decided to post pictures of our dog on social media. Someone found out our location (Our address to our home) and tried to break in and steal our dog. We filed a police report and had authorities come to our home to insure our families safety and most importantly the safety of our animal. We were told to be careful posting pictures on social media and haven’t since then. We owe nobody an explanation on why we don’t do social media. Krissy has harassed me and my family via texts last night. (Screenshots were taken as well) she implied disgusting comments and made my family very uncomfortable. I’m now thinking this has everything to do with race. And I will NEVER recommend this breeder again! What we do with our animals is OUR business, we owe you NOTHING! I will continue spreading awareness of the buisness we experienced from you in hopes nobody else has to deal with the same thing. This is definitely not over. Thank you.
July 23 · momma bearI purchased my first African Serval cat and I am so pleased with my decision to go with this breeder. Krissy Holt loves what she does and you can tell by the behavior and the quality of her cats. She educated me throughout the whole process. She made sure that I was totally prepared to bring this lovely baby home. She gave me so many nice gifts in my kittens to go bag. It was so nice to bring a kitten home and have it already litter trained. Our first night together, my kitten cuddled and purred all night.
